In this collection of resist-blasted work, the technique makes a tongue in cheek play on ornamentation with outdated porcelain vessels sourced from old shops and thrift stores in Singapore. The ornamental glaze remains on one half on each piece, while the other half is whitewashed with resist blasting that removes the glaze surface. The clear separation of decoration and its void presents a visual dichotomy. Depending on the position of the vessel to a viewer's gaze, one could see the vessel as it was before treatment, or after, or both at once.
